As a Knicks fan Game 6 was absolutely disgusting embarrassing game to watch. The first quarter was just about the only positive quarter the entire game where things were kept razor thin ending with pacers 25 – Knicks 24. That quarter was closed out on a 9-5 point run in favor of the Knicks. But the big issue was coming out of half time, it just seemed like this whole game the pacers had more drive, determination and energy. I didn’t see the same from the Knicks aside for 2 players Mitchell Robinson and Jalen Brunson. The effect of Robinson cannot be understated, without him and his 9 boards 5 of which were offensive rebounds occurring in the first quarter, the Knicks would have been decimated even further.

I saw too many errors and sloppy play. I saw a team that at times, and I hate saying the word, seemed lazy. I didn’t seem the same kind of effort and rugged style the pacers put forth last night. I’d have to rewatch this game to point out all the spots but I saw poor passing, lack of getting capable rebounds and exactly what I didn’t want to see too many turn overs which played right into the pacers hands. There was far too much wide open spacing allowing the pacers to knock down easy 3’s. You can’t have a game like that and expect to survive and elimination game you just can’t.

While I didn’t enjoy what I saw I realize this has been long rough stretch of postseason and the Knicks got further than was expected which is a win in it’s own right, I prefer to see the positive. I’m not on the bandwagon of looking at trades or changing coaching staff, this team made it this far for a reason and I believe they have the same capabilities next season. But the display last night at least for now leaves a bad taste in the mouth and I had the feeling unfortunately the results of game 1 would loom large.
